ProGreen Garden Center Overview
ProGreen Garden Center was founded in 1990 and we opened at our present location in 1993. We are proud to be a locally owned small business and a part of our community for 32 years. We are thankful for the thousands of customers, many who have become friends, that have come through our doors over the years. Our greenhouses, nursery and garden shop are open all year long. Unlike many big box stores, we don't pack it all away and disappear at the end of spring. We invite you to visit us and see the difference hometown attention makes.
Experienced Landscape Design & Installation
One of our favorite activities is to help our clients increase the value of their homes and businesses by creating designs to enhance outdoor living and curb appeal. We design and install combining the right balance of trees and shrubs, perennials and mulches to provide season long color and enjoyment.
Nursery
Our nursery is stocked with a wide variety of evergreen, shade, flowering and fruit trees. A choice of sizes are available to satisfy any budget, from starter trees to 3.5" caliper, and from a few feet tall to ten feet tall and larger. Also, we offer dozens of varieties of shrubs, including evergreens and flowering for any environment.
Perennials
Over 150 varieties of perennials are offered to enhance your landscape and gardens. Choose from seasonal bloomers or varieties that bloom all season long. Perennials that attract butterflies and bees or other welcomed guests to the garden. There are perennials that do well in the shade, and those that flourish in the full sun. Visit our greenhouses and let our staff make recommendations to you.
Greenhouse
We grow approximately 90% of our flowers and vegetables from seed and plugs right here at home. Plants receive personal attention and care by our dedicated staff during all stages of development to assure that our customers receive the best quality available. The small portion that is sourced in comes only from quality greenhouses in central Indiana which meet our own standards for quality and expectations.
Gardening Supplies
Complete gardening store loaded with fertilizers for the lawn and garden, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and more, both chemical and natural selections are offered. Also supplies for the DIY landscaper like fabric weed barrier, steel and plastic border, pavers and wall blocks.
Garden Gifts and Accents
We have a fine selection of garden accents which can add that special touch and interest to any garden. Choose from steel or bamboo wind chimes, wall plaques, gazing balls, statuettes, benches and bird baths to name a few. Stop in for that special garden gift for a friend, or just for yourself.
Sod. The Quick Way to a Great Lawn
While we sometimes install or refurbish lawns with seed, sod is the quickest and cleanest way to get a beautiful lawn off to a great start. We offer quality bluegrass or fescue sod installation at a reasonable cost. Call for a free estimate.
Bulk and Bagged Mulches
Mulches enhance landscape appearance as well as help control weeds and dust. It also retains moisture and adds nutrients to the soil, which benefits plant growth and health. We have four colors of bulk mulch and nine bagged mulches available for customer pick up, or we can deliver it and even spread it if you wish.
